Industrial SWH-40000 Access Control System Controller by Software House is an industrial-grade door controller that acts as the local decision point for door security, coordinating readers, electric locks, and event data within Software House’s integrated access control ecosystem. It aligns with the iSTAR family’s modular, scalable approach and supports RM and OSDP reader communications, enabling flexible deployments across numerous doors in demanding environments. RM and OSDP boards extend panel-to-reader distances up to 4,000 ft (1,200 m) and can be installed in enclosures with standby power from a sealed lead-acid battery for up to two boards, delivering resilience in critical locations. When using RM or OSDP, communication can be encrypted and authenticated with compatible readers, adding a layer of security to edge-controlled access. The system also accommodates MQTT-based open connectivity for cloud-friendly IoT integrations and scalable management alongside Software House software tools. The combination of these features makes the SWH-40000 suitable for large facilities requiring centralized access control with flexible wiring, robust offline power options, and secure, scalable reader networking.
