Industrial MLV408H48 Reflection Light Scanner

The Visolux MLV40-8-H 48 Reflection Light Scanner (Industrial MLV408H48) is a non-contact object detector with background suppression designed for industrial automation. It is commonly installed in manufacturing equipment, conveyor systems, and machine-control applications to sense object presence and position within up to 80 mm using an infrared LED light source and optical reflection sensing. Operating from 10–30 VDC, it features an aluminum housing with IP65 protection, a switching output capable of up to 200 mA, and a 5 ms response time. Common replacements include SICK reflection light scanners with background suppression, Pepperl+Fuchs background suppression sensors, and Omron photoelectric reflection sensors.
