Industrial MK3-M8-BOX Marking System Controller is SITEL’s standalone control box that drives the MK3-M8 stamping system in automated production lines. It can operate with or without a PC via a built‑in simplified interface or the SITELMK3-SISM-S software, with the control unit able to run independently while still coordinating with the stamper. The front/side hardware includes a two-line, 40-character display and an alphanumeric keyboard with 60 keys for on‑box job input; external connections are provided by two serial (D‑sub) ports on one side and a 9‑pin PC interface on the other, while an 8‑pin I/O connector supports remote start/stop or PLC inputs. All I/O signals operate at 24 V DC and are not galvanically isolated from the electronics. The power supply ranges from 90 to 264 VAC, 50/60 Hz, and the unit consumes about 50 W. The MK3‑M8 control box architecture separates the electronic control board from the stamper, yet drives the mechanics and offers an internal memory capable of storing up to 100 JOBs for offline operation. The standard MK3‑M8 family variant ships with a nameplate indicating Made in Italy and a manufacturing date around 2011, reflecting its long‑standing use in industrial marking applications.
