Industrial MC4-0014-FD2 Safety Mat Controller

STI MC4-0014-FD2 Safety Mat Controller is a rugged machine-safety controller that coordinates up to six four-wire STI safety mats (typical UM series) for perimeter guarding around robots and work cells; it ships in a 14-gauge steel IP65 enclosure and weighs about 9 lb (4.1 kg), designed to meet Category 3 safety requirements. The unit can be powered from 110–240 VAC auto-select or a 24 VDC supply, and provides four normally open safety relays (rating 6 A @ 230 VAC) plus a Start/Restart interlock option via START terminals; remote start can be wired between START 1 and START 2. Mats connect with STI’s four-wire mat interface: blue and black go to the bottom electrode, brown and white to the top, with a typical single-mat jumper tying 2 BLK to 6 BLU as shown in the wiring diagrams. The MC4 controller is intended to work with STI UM safety mats and is designed to conform to ANSI B11.19-1990, OSHA 1910.212 and EN1760-1:1997; CE marking is achieved when used with STI UM mats.
