RECHNER's KAS-80-23-0 is a 22 mm capacitive sensor in the KAS-80 family, designed for non‑contact detection of dielectric targets through packaging, glass, plastics, and other insulators. The KAS‑80‑23‑S‑M22 variant offers a 1–12 mm sensing distance with a 2 m PUR cable (3 conductors) and M22 mounting, while the KAS‑80‑23‑A‑M22 variant provides a 2–12 mm range with a 2 m PVC cable (4 conductors); both versions use a 10–35 V DC supply and are housed in PA/PPO bodies with IP67 protection. Output configuration differs by model: the S‑M22 version is normally open, whereas the A‑M22 version is described as antivalent, reflecting two complementary output arrangements. The sensor features a green/yellow LED indicator for status, a built‑in protective circuit, and EN 60947‑5‑2 compliance. Accessories include two M22 mounting nuts, and the active sensing surfaces are designed for rugged industrial environments, with operating temperatures from -25 to +70 C.
