The ER70S-6 TIG welding rod is a 1/8 in. diameter, 36 in. long carbon steel filler rod (8 lb package) engineered for GTAW welding. It is AWS ER70S-6 (AWS A5.18 / ASME SFA 5.18) certified and uses DCSP polarity to deliver a stable arc and strong welds, with a minimum tensile strength of 70,000 psi. Its high silicon and manganese content supports smooth weld beads on lightly rusted or dirty steel surfaces with minimal cleanup. Commonly used in fabrication shops, construction projects, automotive repair, pipe welding, and general manufacturing for structural fabrication, equipment repair, production welding, and replacement of worn or damaged steel components.
