DCMT070204 (DCMT21.51) is a cemented carbide turning insert with a 55° diamond (rhombic) shape and a positive-rake design intended for light- to medium-duty turning and finishing on CNC lathes, engine lathes, and turning centers. It features two cutting edges, a center hole with countersink mounting, an inscribed circle of 6.35 mm (0.25 in), a cutting edge length of 7.75 mm (0.305 in), an insert thickness of 2.38 mm (0.094 in), and a corner radius of 0.4 mm (0.016 in); the 7° clearance angle reduces cutting forces and aids chip evacuation. Compatible with steels, stainless steels, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals, it is used for facing, profiling, boring, and general turning in production machining and precision finishing.
