Industrial CMCP785A Accelerometer Vibration Sensor

The STI Vibration Monitoring CMCP785A General Purpose Side Entry Accelerometer is a lightweight, analog vibration sensor designed for rotating equipment, delivering a 100 mV/g output when powered from 18–30 VDC. This side-entry device uses a 2-pin MS5015 connector and mounts via a ¼-28 UNF stud; STI offers variants such as CMCP785A-I with an armored cable and CMCP785A-LF-IP for low-frequency or IP-rated environments to suit harsh installations. The CMCP785A provides an X-axis sensitivity of 100 mV/g with a typical dynamic range of ±80 g and a frequency response from approximately 0.8 Hz to 12 kHz, enabling detection of bearing faults, imbalance, misalignment, and other rotating equipment faults in motors, pumps, gearboxes, and similar machinery. Operating temperature reaches up to 140°C (284°F), and depending on variant, IP ratings include IP65 or IP68, with configurations appropriate for route-based or permanent mounting within vibration-monitoring systems.
