Industrial C41001 Modulated Visible Beam Sensor

Skan-A-Matic C41001 Modulated Visible Beam Sensor is a self-contained, DC-powered optical switch in the C40000 Series that uses a modulated visible red beam to detect reflective targets. Designed for versatile automation wiring, it accepts 5 VDC or 8 to 28 VDC supplies and provides dual complementary open-collector outputs suitable for PLC inputs and direct switching of DC devices up to 30 VDC at 100 mA. When a target reflects the beam, the LIGHT energized output conducts and the alignment indicator illuminates; when the beam is not reflected, the DARK energized output conducts. The C40000 family packages the amplifier and receiver in a rugged NEMA 12 cast zinc housing with a coaxial optical system and a visible red light source. Two modulation frequencies are available to minimize interference from nearby sensors, and models in the series offer reflective operating distances of 1 inch or 2 inches.
