Industrial 57552-4E Universal Drive Controller Module

The Reliance Industrial 57552-4E Universal Drive Controller Module is a programmable Universal Drive Controller (UDC) for Reliance AutoMax Distributed Power System racks, serving as the drive-control brain that coordinates the connected motors and regulators within a DPS. In a typical AutoMax rack you can install up to 10 UDC modules, and these UDCs can be mixed with other Reliance drive-control modules in the same rack, giving flexible drive topology. The UDC memory architecture includes 256 KB of non-volatile flash, 512 KB of SRAM, and 4 KB of dual-port SRAM, providing space for firmware, configuration, and runtime data; the memory is dual-port SRAM for fast exchanges with the host and the DPS backplane. The module supports fiber-optic connectivity to two PMIs via a fiber link, enabling two separate drive interfaces for DPS configurations. Drives connected to the UDC use ports A and B, and during configuration you must select the type of drive that will be connected to those ports. UDCs occupy any slot in the AutoMax rack except slot 0 and slots reserved for Ethernet or Common Memory modules; when adding a UDC you choose the appropriate drive-type mapping in the rack configuration.
