Industrial 553M Deadweight Micrometer

The TMI 553M Deadweight Micrometer is a bench-top instrument used in precision thickness measurement systems to determine material thickness with a fixed deadweight contact pressure. Manufactured by TMI, this model (553M) measures from 0.010 to 0.500 inches (10–500 mils) with a maximum thickness capacity of 1/2 inch and uses an analog mechanical micrometer display for readouts. It is commonly installed in paper mills, plastics manufacturing, rubber processing, textile production, film converting, and quality control laboratories where repeatable thickness measurements of paper, plastic film, rubber sheets, textiles, foils, laminates, nonwoven materials, and other flexible sheet products are required during production and inspection.
