Industrial 438A Electronic Vibration Switch

The VITEC 438A Electronic Vibration Switch is a machine protection device for rotating equipment that monitors vibration velocity and provides alarm or shutdown functions to help prevent damage on pumps, motors, fans, compressors, generators, and conveyors. It features 2 field-adjustable setpoints and a 4-20 mA DC analog output, plus Alarm and Trip shutdown relays, and it accepts 120/220 VAC field-selectable power or 24 VDC. With velocity measurement in the 3 Hz to 1000 Hz range and plate-mount installation, the unit is designed for Predictive Maintenance and Machine Protection in rotating machinery operating from -25°F to 160°F (-32°C to 71°C), and is available with NEMA 4, NEMA 4X, or Explosion-Proof enclosures. Common replacements include Metrix 440, VITEC 438D, and Metrix 450 electronic vibration switches.
