The IAI Robo Cylinder RCS-SA4-A-20-L-50-N-BL is a compact slider-type electric actuator in IAI's ROBO Cylinder lineup, combining a 40 mm-wide housing with a ball-screw drive and a 20 W AC servo motor to deliver precise, linear motion. The unit’s 50 mm stroke is one of the selectable lengths in the SA4 family (50–300 mm in 50 mm steps) and it offers high-precision positioning with a repeatability of ±0.02 mm. Encoder options include Incremental or Absolute, and the model features a left-side brake exit (BL) for cable routing. Maximum horizontal payload is 5 kg, while vertical payload depends on speed (approximately 4.5 kg at the slowest speed and down to about 1 kg at the highest speed). Top speeds reach up to 665 mm/s depending on the ball-screw lead, with peak thrust around 78.4 N (8 kgf) at low speeds and reduced thrust at higher speeds. The RCS-SA4 family is rated for a design life near 5000 km at the maximum rated speed, payload, and acceleration. This actuator supports compact automation tasks requiring precise, programmable linear motion, such as pick-and-place and assembly, and can be integrated with PLCs and control systems via IAI's Robo Cylinder interface.
