The Hewlett Packard Enterprise 582934-002 MSA Array Controller is a modular RAID controller module for the HP P2000 G3 SAS MSA storage system, handling data processing, RAID operations, and the communication bridge between servers and disk enclosures. Built for dual-controller redundancy in active-active configurations, it enhances availability in enterprise storage environments. Key specifications include a 6 Gb/s SAS host interface, RAID support for 0, 1, 3, 5, 6, 10, and 50, and multiple SAS host ports (typically 4 x mini-SAS); it provides 2 GB of cache that can be battery-backed or flash-backed depending on configuration. The controller supports expansion enclosures, is managed via Web GUI, CLI, and SNMP, and is compatible only with HP P2000 G3 SAS MSA arrays, mounting as a rear-slot, slot-in module.
