The Festo SEC-AC-305 Smart Electromotor Controller is a compact, digitally parameterized servo drive designed for control cabinets to power AC servo motors and manage torque, speed, and position. It accepts a single‑phase 230 V AC supply (50/60 Hz) and delivers per‑phase continuous current up to 5 A with a peak capability of 10 A for short bursts, enabling precise torque control for small to mid‑size servomotors. The internal braking chopper provides a built‑in 100 W braking resistor, with external braking extension available to reach up to 1.3 kVA braking power. The device operates from an intermediate DC bus up to about 340 V and can be ordered in variants with fieldbus interfaces, including PROFIBUS DP (SEC-AC-305-PB) and CANopen (SEC-AC-305-CO), for direct network communication in automation systems.
