Description:
The Eaton Cutler-Hammer E51DED Photoelectric Sensor is a modular limit-switch‑style photoelectric sensor head designed for non-contact object detection in industrial automation systems. Operating on 10–30 VDC with a through-beam sensing method, it detects targets at up to 300 ft (91.4 m) for conveyors, packaging lines, and material-handling equipment. Its plastic head sits on a die-cast zinc body, and it carries IP67 protection with NEMA ratings 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12, and 13, measuring 1.54 in. long by 1.77 in. high in a modular limit-switch‑style form factor. Common replacements include Eaton E51DP5 and Allen-Bradley 42EF through-beam sensors.
