Cisco NM-HD-2VE Network Module

The Cisco NM-HD-2VE Network Module adds high-density voice expansion to Cisco ISR modular routers, delivering two voice interface slots to extend VoIP and voice-enabled connectivity within enterprise and branch networks. This internal router module is designed for Cisco NM-slot–compatible Integrated Services Routers and supports Voice Interface Cards (VIC) and Voice/WAN Interface Cards (VWIC), enabling flexible integration of voice paths with existing data interfaces. Common deployments include VoIP telephony systems, corporate communication networks, and branch-office routing infrastructures where additional voice capability enhances network functionality and supports integrated communication workflows. As part of the Cisco High-Density Network Module series, the NM-HD-2VE is used to upgrade, expand, or replace existing voice-enabled router interfaces, and it is installed in a router slot to maintain Cisco’s modular hardware design and standard mounting in supported ISR platforms.
