The Cisco ASR1002-PWR-AC Aggregation Services Router is a dual‑power, 2RU edge and aggregation platform designed for high-throughput service provider and enterprise networks. With up to 100 Gbps throughput and modular interfaces (GE, 10GE, 40GE via modules), it accommodates scalable connectivity at the network edge. Powered by the Cisco QuantumFlow Processor (QFP) and supporting high-capacity DRAM and flash storage (configuration dependent), it runs Cisco IOS XE and offers BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VPN support, plus integrated firewall, encryption, and IPSec VPN for secure data transport. Suitable for edge routing, WAN aggregation, and service provider networking, it provides management via CLI and SNMP in a redundant AC-powered 2RU chassis.
