BS&B Safety Systems FA-7R Rupture Disc Holder

BS&B Safety Systems FA-7R Rupture Disc Holder is a compact Quick-Sert safety head that fits between ANSI flange bolts to hold B-type solid-metal rupture disks and D-type composite disks in process piping, delivering a secure, field-replaceable housing for overpressure protection. Available in 1/2", 1", 1-1/2", and 2" nominal sizes, the 2" model is specified for disks with a bursting pressure up to 275 psi. The holder is offered in standard materials of 316 stainless steel and carbon steel, with optional alloys including Monel 400, Inconel 600, Hastelloy C/C-276, as well as aluminum and titanium, enabling compatibility with corrosive or high-temperature service. The disk dome sits fully protected inside the holder, and the assembly can be configured for single or double-disk arrangements as required by the application. Flow-direction is clearly indicated on the safety head to ensure correct orientation during installation. An optional Torque Resistant TR series safety head variant is available, providing a wider seating surface to help prevent overtorquing while preserving identical flow characteristics. This holder is designed for installations where space between flange bolts is limited and rapid disk replacement is advantageous, offering a reliable enclosure that protects the disk and provides repeatable activation at the specified rating.
