The Boston Gear 226D-20 Double-Reduction Helical Gear Reducer is a rugged, cast-iron power-transmission unit that delivers a 20:1 reduction and increased output torque for continuous industrial duty systems. With a maximum input speed of 1,750 RPM and an input power of approximately 1.0 HP, it features a projecting input shaft and a hollow-bore output shaft (1.250 in. bore) to achieve an output speed up to about 88 RPM, making it suitable for conveyors, packaging machinery, food processing equipment, bulk material handling, industrial mixers, and other OEM manufacturing equipment. Lubrication uses synthetic gear lubricant (Klübersynth UH1 6-460 or equivalent) and the unit offers up to 96% efficiency; mounting options include shaft mount or base mount with optional kits, all housed in a Series 200 Optimount cast-iron housing designed for continuous-duty service, a choice maintenance teams and system integrators rely on for replacement, retrofits, and reliable torque transmission.
