Beckhoff KL3172 Analog Input Terminal 2-Channel

Beckhoff KL3172 is a two-channel analog input terminal for Beckhoff's KL3xxx I/O family. It accepts differential voltage signals in the 0–2 V range and converts them with 16‑bit resolution, delivering precise per‑channel measurements for sensor conditioning, process monitoring, and laboratory instrumentation. In the Beckhoff process image, KL3172 presents two 16‑bit input values (one per channel), with optional control/status data carried in the 8‑bit subfields, enabling tight integration with the rest of the I/O rack. The module is designed to mount on a Beckhoff bus terminal rail and participates in the KL31x2 two‑channel accurate terminals family, complementing other analog terminals such as KL3132, KL3162, KL3142, KL3152, and KL3182 for scalable channel configurations. With differential inputs to improve common‑mode rejection and measurement stability, KL3172 is well suited to precision low‑voltage sensing in automation, lab benches, and testing setups where stable, repeatable readings are required.
