Beckhoff EP4174-0002 EtherCAT Box

Beckhoff EP4174-0002 EtherCAT Box is a four-channel analog output module for EtherCAT networks. Each output is independently parameterizable, allowing per-channel configuration to deliver either -10 to +10 V or a 0/4–20 mA current signal, with 16‑bit resolution for precise DAC performance. The outputs are differential and presented on M12 connectors, enhancing noise immunity in demanding industrial environments. Housed in Beckhoff’s compact EtherCAT Box format, this module is designed for distributed I/O at the periphery of a machine, enabling close-to-actuator installation and straightforward integration into an EtherCAT system. Typical applications include driving analog actuators such as servo or proportional valves, controlling motors via analog drives, and supplying multi-channel process-control signals in robotics, packaging, or automation tasks. With four simultaneous outputs, the EP4174-0002 supports multi-channel control loops and coordinated actuation from a single EtherCAT master.
