Beckhoff ELX3158 EtherCAT Terminal 8-Channel Input

Beckhoff ELX3158 EtherCAT Terminal is an eight-channel analog input module for direct connection of 0/4–20 mA sensors. It provides 16‑bit resolution per channel and uses a single-ended input configuration, delivering precise current-signal measurements to the EtherCAT master. The terminal is intrinsically safe (Ex i) and designed for hazardous areas, enabling direct connection of intrinsically safe field devices in zones 0/20 and 1/21. With eight inputs, it supports scalable monitoring of process signals such as level, flow, or pressure transmitters, all shared over Beckhoff's EtherCAT network. As part of the ELX family, ELX3158 integrates with Beckhoff's standard I/O infrastructure and requires a compatible EtherCAT master and power/bus supply; its Ex i rating helps ensure safe operation in explosion-hazard environments while preserving fast, deterministic communication typical of EtherCAT systems.
