Beckhoff EL3001 EtherCAT Terminal
Beckhoff EL3001 EtherCAT Terminal
Description:
Beckhoff EL3001 EtherCAT Terminal is a single-channel analog input module for Beckhoff's EtherCAT I/O system, designed to measure voltage signals in the range of -10 V to +10 V with 12-bit resolution in a single-ended configuration. Power is supplied to the electronics via the E-bus, drawing a typical 130 mA, and it provides 500 V isolation between the E-bus and the field side to protect equipment and maintain safety in industrial environments. Distributed clocks are not supported on this model, simplifying the timing topology for straightforward analog measurement tasks. LED indicators reflect the EtherCAT state and on-board diagnostics (for example RUN/INIT/PREOP/SafeOP states) to aid in quick fault detection. This terminal is part of Beckhoff's EL30xx family of analog input terminals, commonly used to obtain direct voltage measurements from sensors and transducers in automation systems, including test benches and production lines, where a compact, EtherCAT-enabled analog input with -10 to +10 V range and 12-bit resolution suffices. Additionally, being an EL3xxx module, it integrates with Beckhoff's TwinCAT software for data acquisition and control, enabling seamless configuration and process data exchange with a compatible EtherCAT master.
