Beckhoff Automation EL2008-0000 Digital Output Terminal

Beckhoff EL2008-0000 EtherCAT Terminal is an 8-channel digital output module that provides binary 24 V DC outputs for actuating field devices from a Beckhoff EtherCAT network. Each of the eight outputs is rated for up to 0.5 A at 24 V DC, delivering a combined maximum output current of 4 A across the module. The outputs are galvanically isolated from the bus, protecting the controller and process level electronics. A green LED per channel indicates the active state of the corresponding output, making status quick to verify. The nominal output voltage is 24 V DC with a tolerance of -15% to +20%, and the device supports binary control signals. Typical switching time is around 10 microseconds, enabling fast actuation in automation tasks. This terminal is used to drive actuators such as relays, contactors, valves, and other 24 VDC devices on EtherCAT-based automation systems, commonly integrated with TwinCAT software for machine control.
