Basler Electric D4N3H1U Intertie Protection System, part of Basler Electric’s BE1-11i Intertie Protection System line, is a protection relay platform designed for intertie links between two utility grids or distributed-generation connections. It provides preprogrammed intertie protection logic and can be configured with BESTCOMSPlus/BESTlogicPlus software for intuitive setup, graphs, and built-in error checking. Front‑panel operation is supported via Select‑and‑Operate controls, and the unit offers configurable analog outputs to drive meters or SCADA interfaces. For expanded monitoring, an optional RTD module can extend temperature-related alarm and trip capabilities. Communications over RS‑485 support Modbus or DNP3 protocols, enabling integration with Basler controllers such as the DGC‑2020HD Digital Genset Controller and other BE1‑11 family devices. As a member of the BE1‑11 protection family, the D4N3H1U shares a common firmware across feeder, intertie, generator, transformer, and DC power protection styles, simplifying maintenance and future updates.
