Banner Engineering SM912DQD Photoelectric Sensor

The Banner Engineering SM912DQD VALU-BEAM diffuse photoelectric sensor combines a compact form with a mini-style integral Quick Disconnect (QD) connector for straightforward installation. It operates in diffuse sensing mode with a maximum range of 760 mm and is powered from 10–30 V DC. The sensor provides bipolar outputs: one NPN and one PNP, enabling flexible interfacing to common controllers. The Quick Disconnect is built into the housing, simplifying field connections without additional wiring harnesses. Note that this model is not washdown rated, making it suitable for general industrial environments rather than washdown applications. As part of the VALU-BEAM family, the SM912DQD is used for object presence/absence checks and basic detection tasks on conveyors, packaging lines, and related automation setups.
