Banner Engineering SM2A31RPD Photoelectric Sensor

The Banner Engineering SM2A31RPD Mini-Beam AC Voltage Series is a self-contained photoelectric sensor designed as the opposed-receiver in a through-beam pair, optimized for detecting clear plastic targets. It operates on 24 to 240 V AC and provides a solid-state SPST output for simple interfacing to controllers. The SM2A31RPD uses Clear Plastic Detection and includes a light/dark operate select switch, enabling you to choose whether a detected object triggers the output in light or dark conditions. Sensitivity is adjustable via a 15-turn trimmer (slotted) to fine-tune performance for mounting distance and target characteristics. Actual sensing range varies with the target material; when used in standard through-beam setups with compatible targets, ranges up to 0.3 m are common, and the SM2A31RPD-W30 variant ships with a 9 m (30 ft) cable for extended wiring.
