Banner Engineering D12EP6FP Fiber Optic Sensor

The Banner Engineering D12EP6FP is a DIN-rail mounted D12 Expert Series plastic fiber optic sensor with a PNP SPST output for discrete detection. It operates on 10–30 V dc and includes a 2 m attached cable; range is fiber-dependent and it accepts unterminated plastic fibers or T5 termination, enabling flexible fiber integration. Built in thermoplastic housing with IP11 protection and a NEMA 4X rating supports use in general industrial environments, while an operating temperature range of -20 to 70 °C and up to 90% relative humidity at 50 °C covers typical manufacturing settings. The device supports remote teach via a Teach Button and provides a Health/Marginal Signal output; it uses a 5-pin connector and a single discrete output, with a minimum response time of 0.2 ms and a repeatability of 66 μs, making it suitable for fast object counting and other discrete-detection tasks.
