Banner Engineering SE612FP Fiber Optic Sensor

SE612FP is Banner Engineering’s ECONO-BEAM plastic fiber optic sensor head designed for use with plastic fiber optics. It supports diffuse and opposed-mode sensing with plastic fibers and emits a visible red beam at 650 nm. The sensor ships with a 2 m (6.5 ft) cable and operates from 10 to 30 V DC, delivering a bipolar NPN/PNP output. Range varies by sensing mode and fiber optics used, making it suitable for tight or inaccessible installations where flexible plastic fibers must reach the sensing site. Plastic fiber optics compatible with SE612FP are rated to operate from −30 °C to +70 °C, enabling sensing in a range of industrial environments. This compact, fiber-coupled sensor enables noncontact detection of presence in automated equipment where direct sensing is impractical.
