Banner Engineering IR13S Fiber Optic Cable Sensor is a glass fiber optic cable assembly that serves as the light-transmission link in Banner sensing systems. The fiber is 0.914 m long with a 1.6 mm core, housed in a stainless-steel monocoil jacket, and terminates in a stainless-steel sensing end sized at 4.8 mm with an angle tip. The beam exits the assembly at a right-angle configuration, and the fiber is rated to operate up to 249 C with a minimum bend radius of 25 mm. This terminated cable combines a glass fiber type with a terminated interface to Banner amplifiers and sensors, enabling opposed-mode and reflective sensing configurations for remote sensing in hard-to-reach spaces. Its compact length and rugged jacket support installation in industrial automation environments where direct sensing heads cannot reach, while preserving signal integrity for reliable object detection.
