Banner Engineering IAT25S Fiber Optic Sensor

The Banner Engineering IAT25S is a heavy-duty glass-fiber optic sensor head designed for reflective sensing, with a right-angle beam exit and a threaded #5/16-24 fiber end that mounts to compatible Banner amplifiers in a fiber-optic sensing system. The brass sensing end pairs with a glass fiber jacketed in stainless steel monocoil, delivering a 1.524 m (5 ft) run with a 3.2 mm core and a minimum bend radius of 25 mm; the sensing end is composed of an angled segment and a threaded segment, with a #5/16-24 end size and a terminated fiber, enabling secure attachment and repeatable alignment. Sensing modes available include opposed in general configuration and reflective in detailed operation, offering flexibility for targets with varying reflectivity and placement in tight spaces. With a maximum operating temperature of 249 C, the IAT25S is well-suited for harsh industrial environments where small features must be detected in confined spaces using Banner’s IAT fiber-optic system and compatible amplifiers.
