Banner Engineering ES-UA-5A Emergency Stop Safety Module

The Banner Engineering ES-UA-5A Emergency Stop Safety Module is a compact safety relay designed to monitor E-stop, rope-pull, and interlock devices, enhancing reliability in safety-critical machinery. It accepts AC or DC power (115 V ac or 12–24 V dc) and features a single safety input configurable for 1 NC or 2 NC contacts to support 1- or 2-channel E-stop configurations; it provides four normally open safety outputs rated 6 A, plus an auxiliary normally closed output rated 5 A and two solid-state outputs at 0.1 A. The module measures 84 mm high by 45 mm wide by 118 mm deep, uses removable terminal blocks, and carries an IP20 enclosure rating; operating temperature ranges to 50 C with up to 90% humidity at 50 C, and it draws about 4 W (7 VA) of power, with a recovery time of 350 ms and a typical response time of 25 ms. In safety performance terms, the ES-UA-5A delivers PL e and SIL 3 ratings, PFHd of 5.8e-8, and self-checking circuitry with auto- or manual-reset options, along with status LEDs to indicate normal or fault conditions.
