Balluff BES516-105-S4-Y Inductive Proximity Sensor

The BALLUFF BES516-105-S4-Y is an inductive proximity sensor that detects metallic objects without contact to support position sensing in industrial automation. Its cylindrical threaded barrel (BES 516 series) houses nickel-plated brass, provides a ~5 mm sensing distance, and offers IP67 protection with a 10–30 V DC supply and a PNP normally open output (variant dependent) via M12 connector or cable version. It can switch up to ~2 kHz and operates from -25°C to +70°C, making it suitable for conveyor systems, packaging machinery, CNC equipment, robotics, and other factory automation tasks requiring non-contact metal detection, end-of-travel sensing, or part verification.
