Balluff BES 516-113-S4-C Inductive Proximity Sensor

Balluff BES 516-113-S4-C is a stainless-steel, cylindrical inductive proximity sensor (M12x1 thread) that detects ferrous metal targets at a 2 mm nominal range and is designed for flush mounting in compact automation layouts, part of Balluff's BES 516 family of inductive standard sensors. The Ø12 x 70 mm housing uses a 4-pin M12 connector and, with a sensing surface of PBT, is intended for flush installation with a mounting length of 40.50 mm to suit constrained spaces. It operates from 10 to 30 V DC and provides a PNP normally open/normally closed switching output, capable of switching up to 200 mA, while delivering IP68 protection across a -40 to 85 C ambient range for demanding industrial environments. With a switching frequency up to 3500 Hz, this sensor is well-suited to fast detection tasks in automated lines, conveyors, or machinery panels where metal presence must be reliably sensed in tight clearances.
