Bailey INNPM01 Infi 90 Network Process Module

The ABB Bailey INNPM01 Infi 90 Network Process Module is the central network processing unit for Bailey INFI-90 and Network 90 distributed control systems. It acts as the translator between the INFI-NET loop and the process control unit interface, and it holds the exception report routing database to direct operation of the process control unit interface. The NPM polls the control modules for exception reports at a user-selectable rate—1, 2, 4, or 8 polls per second—via a dipswitch setting on the module board, enabling timely detection of point changes, timeouts, or alarm conditions. Data transfer between the NPM and the NIS module occurs over the I/O expander bus, with the NPM responsible for writing commands to the NIS, requesting status, and reading/writing data, with the NPM always initiating the transfer, and all communication to control modules within the process control unit carried over Controlway.
