Schmersal AZ 15 ZVRK-M20 Safety Switch

The AZ 15 ZVRK-M20 is a safety switch with a separate actuator from Schmersal, designed for reliable door and access guarding on machines and production lines. Its compact thermoplastic enclosure measures 52 mm by 75 mm by 30 mm, is double-insulated, and provides three M 20 x 1.5 cable entries with a large wiring compartment and universal coding for flexible wiring layouts. The unit features a single NC safety contact with slow-action, positive-break operation, rated for AC-15 at 230 VAC/4 A and DC-13 at 24 VDC/4 A, supports up to 4,000 switching cycles per hour, and offers Ui 500 V and Uimp 6 kV, with a 10 A thermal test current and 1,000 A short-circuit rating. The device is IP67-rated, operates across an ambient range of -30 to +80 C (storage -40 to +85 C) and up to 2,000 m above sea level, and the actuator must be ordered separately; contacts are gold-plated silver (AgNi 15 with 0.3 µm Au) for enhanced reliability.
