Autotech Controls SAC-M1050-8R0 Programmable Limit Switch

The SAC-M1050-8R0 Programmable Limit Switch from Autotech Controls is a self-contained, eight-output programmable limit switch (PLS) that delivers fast, precise stop-position control in a compact NEMA 12 front-panel package with built-in diagnostics. It accepts a single-turn resolver as the position transducer (compatible with Autotech RL100, E6R, E7R, E8R series) and can mount the control unit up to 2500 ft (762 m) from the machine. The device stores up to eight PLS programs; each program supports up to 80 ON/OFF setpoints for an eight-channel configuration (or 160 for a 16-channel variant) and can be selected via the front panel or external PLC-compatible inputs. The M1050 includes eight programmable PLS outputs plus a motion output and a fault output, along with built-in speed compensation and a tachometer/motion detector for high-speed, position-accurate operation up to 1800 RPM with a 100 µs scan time. Setpoints and outputs are fully isolated, and two supervisory inputs prevent unintended program changes, while the front panel provides live display of program, channel, ON/OFF setpoints, and output status. Additional features include automatic self-diagnostics and an optional brake monitoring function; the unit supports programming at speed, fine-tuned with dedicated up/down arrow keys, and can display real-time programmed values for quick setup and troubleshooting.
