Automation Direct D2-08TD1 Discrete Output Module

D2-08TD1 is an 8-point sinking DC output module for Automation Direct DirectLOGIC DL205 PLCs, delivering eight 12–24 VDC outputs via a single common, with each output using an NPN open-collector configuration. Each channel can sink up to 0.3 A (2.4 A total per module) and is designed for a 10.2–26.4 VDC operating range (40 VDC peak). The module includes one common shared across all outputs (with two associated terminal points) and uses a removable terminal block (D2-8IOCON) for easy wiring; it is fused per common with a 5 A fast-blow fuse, non-replaceable. Base power consumption is 100 mA at 5 VDC, and the unit weighs about 2.3 oz (65 g). Response times are 1 ms for both OFF-to-ON and ON-to-OFF transitions, enabling rapid control of DC loads. Ideal forDL205-based automation projects where compact, reliable control of multiple low-current DC loads—such as relay coils, indicators, sensors, or small actuators—at 12–24 VDC is needed, this module expands I/O capacity while maintaining straightforward wiring and clear status indication on the logic side.
