Automation Direct D2-08ND3 Discrete Input Module

The AutomationDirect D2-08ND3 is an eight‑point DC discrete input module for the DirectLOGIC DL205 family, designed to translate field signals in the 10.2–26.4 VDC range into clean, debounced inputs for the controller. It supports both sinking and sourcing configurations with a single common per module, and uses removable D2-8IO terminals to simplify field wiring. Each of the eight inputs presents about 2.7 kΩ input impedance and draws roughly 4.0 mA at 12 VDC or 8.5 mA at 24 VDC, with an ON threshold of at least 9.5 V and an OFF threshold of at most 3.5 V, and a peak input voltage rating of 26.4 VDC. The ON-to-OFF and OFF-to-ON response times span 1–8 ms, enabling rapid detection of switch closures or sensor signals in automation tasks. The module weighs approximately 2.3 oz (65 g) and is designed for easy installation in 8‑channel DC input configurations. Common applications include reading digital sensors, limit switches, door interlocks, and other 12–24 VDC devices into a DL205 PLC, expanding discrete input capacity without requiring separate sensing modules.
