Anaheim Automation MBDC050-024031 PCB Speed Control Drive Board
Description:
The Anaheim Automation MBDC050-024031 PCB Speed Control Drive Board is a compact, bidirectional DC speed controller for brushed motors, designed to operate from an 8–35 VDC supply and deliver up to 3 A peak with about 35 W of output power. Speed can be set either with a 10 kΩ external potentiometer or via a 0.5–5 VDC external control signal, and JP1 allows an external PWM signal to control speed as well (JP1 positions 2–3). It provides a direction input to preset rotation and a Freewheel input that can be grounded to disable energization, enabling coast-mode operation. Control signals are TTL-CMOS compatible, and wiring is via a screw-terminal TB1 block with motor leads labeled MOTOR PHASE A and MOTOR PHASE A/. The module is physically compact at 1.50" × 1.50" × 0.712" and uses a screw-terminal for both power and motor connections. In open-loop velocity mode, the MBDC050-024031 supports 2-quadrant operation and includes cycle-by-cycle short-circuit protection to guard the motor and drive circuitry. This makes it suitable for small DC brushed motor applications where precise analog, voltage, or PWM-based speed control is desired, with straightforward wiring and a small form factor for space-constrained installations.
