Allen-Bradley 1771-IXE Thermocouple Millivolt Input Module

The Allen-Bradley 1771-IXE Thermocouple/Millivolt Input Module is an eight-channel analog input card for the PLC-5 family that converts thermocouple voltages or millivolt signals into digital data for the controller. Each of the eight inputs accepts thermocouple types E, J, K, R, S or T, or direct millivolt signals, with inputs arranged in a floating differential configuration to improve noise rejection. The module supports millivolt full-scale up to ±99.99 mV and can present readings as actual temperature or millivolts in either natural binary or BCD formats, depending on the controller and software configuration. Designed for use in PLC-5 systems with Rockwell's 1771 I/O chassis, the 1771-IXE is commonly employed for process-temperature monitoring, furnace or kiln control, and other applications where precise low-level signals from thermocouples or millivolt sources must be read by a Rockwell automation PLC.
