Allen-Bradley ABSD-01A-S Non-Contact Infrared Temperature Sensor

Allen-Bradley ABSD-01A-S is an industrial non-contact infrared temperature sensor that measures surface temperature without touching the target, enabling continuous process monitoring in automation systems. With a spectral range of 8–14 μm and an optical resolution of 20:1, it covers 0°C to 1000°C (model dependent) and offers an accuracy of ±1% of reading or ±1.5°C, plus a repeatability of ±0.5% of reading or ±1°C. The unit responds in 150 ms and provides a 4–20 mA analog output powered by 24 VDC, drawing up to 50 mA. Housed in stainless steel and rated IP65 (NEMA 4), it is built for demanding environments and 0–60°C ambient operation (−20–80°C storage). A standard 1.5 m cable length keeps wiring straightforward. Used across steel processing lines, food and beverage, plastics, paper, conveyors, packaging, and industrial furnaces, it supports applications in injection molding, drying ovens, textiles, and quality control.
