Allen-Bradley 45CPD-8LTB1-D5 Long Range Laser Sensor is a non-contact measurement device that uses a 905 nm Class 1 infrared laser to deliver distance readings up to 6 meters, with a visible 650 nm alignment beam to assist setup. It operates from 18 to 30 V DC (typical 24 V) and draws up to 125 mA, with a 5-pin M12 DC micro connector and an IP67-rated ABS housing that stands up to harsh industrial environments. The sensor provides an analog 4–20 mA output plus two discrete PNP outputs for PLC integration, supports light/dark operation, and features a fixed 30 mm hysteresis with repeatability in the tens of millimeters range and fast/slow response times of 13 ms and 30 ms. Spot size is 4 × 7 mm at 2 m and 4 × 12 mm at 6 m, while the compact enclosure measures roughly 42 mm wide, 93 mm high, and 94 mm long with a PMMA lens.
