Allen-Bradley 42RSP-6014 Photoelectric Sensor

Allen-Bradley PhotoSwitch 6000 Series 42SRP-6014 is a compact diffuse, wide-angle photoelectric sensor designed for reliable presence detection in tight automation spaces. It detects targets up to 15 inches (380 mm) away with a diffuse sensing pattern and ships with a 3 m cable for straightforward integration on conveyors, packaging lines, or assembly stations. Operated from 20–132 V AC/DC, it uses a 660 nm infrared LED and a Power MOSFET output suitable for sinking loads up to 300 mA, making it compatible with standard PLC inputs. The sensor is configured for light-activated switching, delivering a fast response time of about 12 ms on AC supply and 5 ms on DC supply, with a power draw of roughly 1.2 VA at 50/60 Hz. Common applications include object presence detection on production lines, end-of-line verification, and alignment checks where diffuse sensing is advantageous in compact spaces. Optional 42SRP-6014-QD variants provide a four-pin Quick-Disconnect connection for easier wiring in frequent-change environments.
