The head supports polarized retroreflective sensing, providing detectable ranges from about 50.8 mm up to 6 m (roughly 2 in to 20 ft) when used with a 76 mm reflector, and it delivers a fast 2.5 ms response time suitable for high‑speed automation. Output signaling is provided by the compatible base and can be configured for NPN or PNP logic, with the actual relay or transistor output determined by the base option chosen.
