Allen-Bradley 42EF-S1MPA-Y4 Photoelectric Sensor

Allen-Bradley 42EF-S1MPA-Y4 RightSight Photoelectric Sensor delivers fast, reliable object detection in a compact 18 mm right-angle housing, using sharp-cutoff diffuse sensing with an infrared light source. It detects small targets at up to 100 mm distance within a 7° field of view and offers a manually adjustable sensitivity for fine-tuning. Powered from 10.8 to 30 V DC, the sensor provides two complementary LO/DO outputs in a source (PNP) configuration, and it is IO-Link enabled for digital communications with compatible controllers. The unit features a 4-pin Pico QD connector on a 152 mm (6 in) pigtail for easy wiring, a 1 ms response time, and ambient light immunity up to 5000 lux, making it resistant to bright factory lighting. The RightSight line emphasizes compact installation and precise edge detection, suitable for packaging lines, conveyors, and other inline automation where fast response and reliable detection of small parts are critical, even in challenging lighting and environmental conditions with temperatures from -25 to 70 °C and 5–95% noncondensing humidity.
