Allen-Bradley 42EF-P2MPB-F4 Photoelectric Sensor

The Allen-Bradley 42EF-P2MPB-F4 RightSight polarized retroreflective photoelectric sensor delivers 3 m sensing range, 1 ms response time, and IO-Link capability in a compact IP67 housing for rugged environments where fast, reliable detection is required. This DC sensor uses polarized retroreflective sensing with a red light and provides two complementary outputs (LO/DO) in a PNP configuration, wired via a 4-pin DC Micro QD on a 152 mm (6 in) pigtail. It is rated for a wide operating temperature of -25 to 70 °C and 5–95% relative humidity (noncondensing), with ambient light immunity up to 5000 lux. The unit’s spot size is 83.8 mm at 3 m and it features a 1.5° field of view, ensuring precise sensing of small targets. The sensor is IP67 and NEMA 6P rated for washdown and harsh environments, with a rugged construction using Udel cover and Mindel housing materials. Electrical protection includes short-circuit, reverse polarity, false pulse, and overload protection, and it supports DC operation with a rated DC control supply voltage of 10.8 V. The device communicates via M12 connectors and offers IO-Link for advanced integration, making it suitable for automated lines, packaging, and material handling where polarized retroreflective sensing is preferred.
