Allen-Bradley 2198-H015-ERS2 Digital Servo Drive

Allen-Bradley 2198-H015-ERS2 is a Kinetix 5500 EtherNet/IP single-axis servo drive that provides precise motion control with integrated safety. Configured as Frame Size 2, it accepts 195–528 V AC (single- or three-phase) and delivers a 12.5 A peak output, with continuous power ratings of 1.0 kW at 230 V single-phase, 1.5 kW at 230 V three-phase, or 3.2 kW at 480 V three-phase. The ERS2 variant includes integrated safety functionality (Safe Torque Off) over Ethernet/IP and offers CIP Motion communications, supported by a dual-port 100BASE-TX Ethernet switch with DLR for network resilience. For safety-enabled architectures, the drive exposes integrated STO commands from GuardLogix/Compact GuardLogix controllers. It is part of the Kinetix 5500 family and, via the 2198-H2DCK converter kit, can drive MPL/MPM/MPF/MPS rotary motors and MPAR/MPAS/MPAI/LDAT linear motors. The drive supports Integrated Motion on EtherNet/IP (IMCE), enabling coordinated motion with Rockwell Automation controllers in applications such as robotics, packaging, and material handling where compact, networked servo control is required.
