Allen-Bradley 1794-ASB Flex Remote IO Adapter

The Allen-Bradley 1794-ASB Flex Remote I/O Adapter is a FLEX I/O remote I/O interface with an integrated 24V DC power supply that energizes up to eight FLEX I/O modules on a single remote bus. It is powered from a 24V DC source (nominal 24V, operating range 19.2–31.2V DC with up to 5% ripple) and draws about 330 mA (roughly 7.9 W) while administering an inrush current of up to 23 A for 2 ms; the FLEX bus operates at 57.6 Kbps and supports up to eight I/O modules on the adapter. For field wiring, Belden 9463 or equivalent Allen-Bradley pin connectors are recommended for the remote I/O connection. The 1794-ASB is part of the FLEX I/O family and is designed to connect distributed I/O modules to a Rockwell Automation controller through the FLEX I/O network, enabling scalable, remote I/O configurations in industrial automation applications and helping reduce wiring complexity in panel installations.
